It’s easier to sabotage yourself than to put yourself out there and risk failure and rejection.
Unseen.
It doesn’t matter what I do,
How loud I scream,
How much I bleed,
Beg and pleed.
I’m on my knees for you,
I’m trying to make you see me,
I tear my skin to shreds,
I get no sleep in this bed,
I lose my dignity, skin turning red.
I tell you I starve,
starved of more than just food,
but you see me eat, changing a mood
thinking I am fine now
oh how naive.
I need you to see,
I am hurting, I am hurting,
You do not see or you don’t want to,
I don’t understand,
I really don’t.
I don’t want to draw attention,
But I am hurting, not to mention
the amount of times you’ve left me alone
when I need you but you’re gone.
So please look at my fragile shell
don’t crack it it’s all that’s left
inside it’s either empty or painful as hell,
I don’t want help, I want to get out.
I want you to pick me up from where I last fell.
Sometimes people just don’t understand and they can’t help it, it is not their faults that they can’t seem to comprehend why we cut, starve, binge, purge, cry, scream and even smile. Some things you can only understand if you have been through them yourself. Sometimes not everyone has a reason, a trigger or an explanation. Some people just aren’t happy. Sometimes I worry about the human race, I personally feel we are the most troublesome, cruel and flawed species out there. Many people will disagree with me, but it’s my personal opinion. We have achieved great things, but they are only things that benefit humans, or we have ‘gotten passed’ things that humans caused in the first place. Life is complicated. Everything is complicated.
